CHACHAPOYA - THE FORGOTTEN WARRIORS OF CARTHAGE

A documentary by Michael Gregor and produced by doc.station Hamburg about the origins and legacy of the Chachapoya tribe in Amazonia will air on Arte on March 8, 2014 (Chachapoya - Karthagos vergessene Krieger) and on PBS on April 2, 2014 (Secrets of the Dead). I did the line-producing for the New York shooting and interviewed one of the experts.

Love and the Cities

My friend Jessica Talbot has launched a website to accompany her book Hummingbird that she is about to finish. The site is dedicated to stories about finding a place called home, and she has invited me to contribute as a guest writer: Love and the Cities .

Die Amerikanische Nacht

Für die deutschen Leser: Letzte Woche erschien der neue Roman von Marisha Pessl im S. Fischer Verlag. In New York war ich für die Organisation des Drehs von Trailer und diesem Online-Spiel mit verantwortlich:  Amerikanische Nacht I organized the shooting of the German trailer for Marisha Pessl's new book, Night Film, in New York.

FILM REVIEW: THE IRAN JOB

Intimate, quiet, lyrical, and extremely powerful - the documentary The Iran Job is all of the above. Our edit for our documentary about heringfishermen and yupik culture in the Bristol Bay area in Alaska brought me to Berlin for the summer. 2 more weeks to go and I'll be back in NYC!

GOING ALASKA

Our Alaska documentary has been green lighted and it looks as if I will spend the spring in snow and ice! Other things that have been going on: I've joind the Advisory Group of the art organization HAWT as media coordinator, and have been writing press releases and web site content for the Theatre Museum NYC and CityKinder. My immigration is moving ahead step by step...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

As this year ends, I'm gearing up for new exciting things to come in 2012: My colleague Sandra Pruefer and I are making good progress with the preparations for our Alaska wildlife documentary, and I'm editing last changes in the program for my 'Literay New York' Travel Tour, which I will guide in the spring. Other projects are flourishing as well. A good year, and there's even a better one to come. Happy Holidays!
