NIGHT OF JOY

Image
My poem "Night of Joy" was a finalist in the Brooklyn Poets Walt Whitman Bicentennial contest and is now in Fell Swoop #160. Click Read More or the three dots to see the full poem! The epigraph says: I can't describe the pleasure meeting you last night. I'm enjoying the lack of description.

THOUGHTS WHILE CONTEMPLATING TREES IN GREEN-WOOD

Thoughts While Contemplating Trees in Green-Wood was among the poems published in Fell Swoop. They changed the format of the poem, so this is a shot from my publisher's PDF of my manuscript for Do Not Return that will go to the printer soon.

FINALIST IN BROOKLYN POETS' WHITMAN BICENTENNIAL CONTEST

I'm excited to be a finalist in the Brooklyn Poets Whitman Bicentennial Contest, judged by Mark Doty, Tina Chang, and Rowan Ricardo Phillips. The celebration on May 31 will feature readings from the winners (including my friend and Sweet Action member Marietta Brill) and the judges. More on the winners and celebration on May 31 here.
